On the manufacturer's website, the design of the case was compared to "a multi-colored door to an infinite space."

Light weight (about 176 grams) and rounded side lines. It is comfortable to hold in hands.

The screen is protected by scratch-resistant glass. In general, the Huawei Y7p looks quite decent (more expensive than it actually costs).

Display

At 6.39 inches, the actual area is slightly smaller as the corners of the screen are rounded. The display is really big, with a 90.15% body-to-body ratio. But you shouldn't expect any special brightness and clarity from the image. All due to the low resolution of 1560 by 720 pixels with a density of about 270 ppi. But, at the same time, it is worth noting a good color rendering. Sharpness is satisfactory. For viewing sites and videos - quite enough.
Even in bright light, the information on the display is clearly visible, but in the sun it will be problematic to see at least something on the screen.

Additional options include the Eye Comfort system, which filters out blue color harmful to the eyes, and, of course, the standard brightness settings.

Due to the fact that the camera is located at the top of the screen, when setting light wallpaper, a wide black bar may be visible. You can solve the problem in the settings - hide it completely or only when using certain applications. But according to users, the streak only gets in the way when starting games.

Performance

The first thing worth noting is the amount of RAM, 4GB. This means that you can run several applications at the same time without losing speed and "freezing". Plus 64GB internal storage, expandable by 512GB for storing personal photos and videos.

Not bad for a budget smartphone. Hybrid slot for microSD and SIM card. The maximum amount of memory for external storage is 256 GB.

The battery is powerful (4000 mAh). It can easily withstand 111 hours of music playback or 20 hours of web surfing without recharging. The only drawback is that the device comes complete with a standard power adapter with a capacity of only 10 watts, which is connected via microUSB. So if the phone is completely discharged, you will have to wait at least 2 hours for a full charge.

The processor is an eight-core HiSilicon Kirin 710F combined with Mali-G51 graphics. Not new, but it does its job. Fans of active games will appreciate the smart work. Interestingly, in the budget segment, you can find models with the more advanced Kirin 810.

operating system

OS - Android 9.0 (Pie), EMUI 9.1 interface based on artificial intelligence. Simple and intuitive. Plus increased productivity by predicting user actions. On average, system responsiveness increases by 25% and overall performance is improved by 12%. The time for launching applications is also reduced.
Easy Navigation - The interface has been improved for easy one-handed operation (bar located at the bottom of the screen).

Another plus of EMUI 9.1 is the ability to store passwords from accounts on social networks in encrypted form. The information can only be accessed after scanning the fingerprint.

Photo and video

As indicated on the manufacturer's website, the Huawei Y7p may well replace the camera. Three cameras, of which:

• main - 48 megapixels (plus wide-angle - 8 megapixels and 2 megapixels);
• front - 8 megapixels.

Provide display of the smallest details. Plus the stabilization technology and 6 second exposure time create beautiful and clear photos even in low light conditions. Taking impressive photos at night is not a problem without tripods and additional lighting.

The 8 and 2 megapixel wide-angle and portrait cameras are great for shooting in bright light, respectively. Here, the brighter the light, the less grain in the final image. And yes, you won't be able to turn on the night mode on the auxiliary cameras separately from the main one.

Main characteristics:

The characteristics, of course, are not to say extraordinary, but for a budget model they are quite decent.
The artist function is to automatically adjust and optimize an image. For beginner photographers - that's it. Advanced users can take advantage of the manual Pro mode (autofocus, shutter speed, etc.).

As for the video, the results can be called very average. The autofocus function, which works great with photos, is practically nonexistent in the case of video, so you can't do without a tripod.

Sound

The standard headphone jack is located at the bottom of the smartphone. There is only one speaker, which explains the rather average sound quality. Bass and low notes merge, in some cases the sound may be distorted. For true music lovers it is hardly suitable. Supported format: mp3, mp4, 3gp, ogg, amr, aac, flac, wav, midi.

The company has already announced its intention to stop using the services, even if the sanctions are lifted. HUAWEI plans to develop its own applications. According to forecasts, gadgets to Russia will come with pre-installed popular applications (the list may vary depending on the country). Whether this is really so is unknown.
