The company from the Middle Kingdom OPPO Electronics Corporation announced itself in 2004. Smartphones from this manufacturer quickly found buyers and fans due to their affordable price and decent quality. And not only in China.

Over the years of its existence, OPPO Electronics Corporation did not stop there, it developed, created new interesting models, and also did a good job in the field of advertising, making one of the most popular and beloved actors in the world, Leo DiCaprio, the face of its brand.

OPPO first:

More precisely, a camera phone, since the main highlight of this device is a quad camera with a resolution of the main module of 48 megapixels. The fact is that all competing companies have similar models, so in order not to be left outsiders, the manufacturer has prepared several "goodies" in the A91.

Let's take a closer look at what you should pay attention to when buying this smartphone.

As noted above, almost all manufacturers of mobile equipment in their arsenal have models with a quad camera and a resolution of the main matrix of 48 megapixels. The only difference is in the functionality of the other three cameras. Here the imagination of manufacturers knows no bounds. Oppo decided to limit itself to the following set:

• the second camera is an ultra-wide-angle one with a resolution of 8 megapixels;
• the third is a macro camera with a resolution of 2 megapixels;
• the fourth - 2 megapixel, depth sensor, to get the bokeh effect.

In general, a pretty good selection and quite functional. I would like to note only the "modest" by modern standards resolution of the second module and the absence of optical zoom.

Video recording is made at 1080 pixels, and the gyro-stabilization function will eliminate image shake forever.

The front camera is single, located on a miniature ledge in the center of the upper part of the screen. The module has a resolution of 16 megapixels, which is more than enough for taking high-quality selfies.

Today you will not surprise anyone with an IPS matrix, so in order to keep the product competitive, Oppo installed an AMOLED display on this model. Yes, it is more expensive, but the game is worth the candle.

Rich colors and excellent readability in bright daylight are all about AMOLED. The joke that the Chinese do not know how to make smartphones with a diagonal of less than 6 inches is confirmed in this case. Not every hand will feel comfortable with a device with such dimensions. Size 6.4 inches. Yes, this is a small TV, since the aspect ratio of 20: 9 only enhances this impression.

The 1080 x 2400 pixel resolution will satisfy any visual geek. Even with the currently not the highest pixel density per inch of ~ 408 ppi, grain will not be noticeable.

Another feature of the display is an optical fingerprint scanner located under it. No data is given about its performance. But for example, residents of the northern regions, undoubtedly, it is important to know how the scanner will behave in freezing temperatures.

The filling of the smartphone also pleases with its components. It is based on the Mediatek MT6771V Helio P70 platform with an eight-core processor and a Mali-G72 MP3 graphics core. For faster operation, the model will be released with only one amount of RAM - 8 GB. The built-in memory is 128 GB, but if consumers think this is not enough, then he can easily expand it using memory cards. By the way, cards are supported up to 256 GB and are inserted into a separate slot without taking up the space of one of the SIM cards. Also on board are:

In a word, with such a filling, the modern advanced user will not feel left out. The only thing that upsets is the lack of an NFC module that would allow contactless payments.

This device is equipped with the Android 9.0 (Pie) operating system, which is not the last in the line. Most likely, an update to the tenth version will be released in the near future.

On top of the system, the proprietary ColorOS 6.1 shell is installed, which showed performance in work.

Design

Stylish minimalism - this is how you can describe the design of this smartphone. Metal and glass, as in modern architecture.

The back of the device shines with bright colors, of which there are three:

Nothing more, just a camera unit, a flash and a chrome-plated company logo in the lower corner of the device. The front surface is also without frills, minimum frame, maximum display. And given its 6.4-inch diagonal and rounded corners, it seems that the screen takes up 100% of the surface.

The only controversial point in the design is the separation of the power button to the right and the volume rocker to the left side of the device. It will not be very comfortable to operate the device with one hand. On the bottom edge of the case there is a 3.5mm jack for wired headphones and a USB 2.0, Type-C 1.0 connector.

Autonomy

The Oppo A91 comes with a 4025mAh battery installed. Battery life is not given. But, looking back at competitive models of smartphones with similar characteristics, we can say that the period of active work on one battery charge will not exceed two days. As a bonus, a 30W fast charger is included, which can fill the battery up to 50% capacity in just half an hour.

Insider sources say the price is 260 euros. It turns out that this is not the cheapest camera phone. And given the fact that the device has not yet arrived at domestic retailers, the price may still grow.

A device with similar characteristics can be found cheaper, but already from competitors.

Output

Quite an interesting model in technical terms for a closer look. At the moment, the device is released only for the Asian market segment. There is no mention of A91 either in Russian or in the English-language section of the company's official website.
