The Indian consumer electronics brand has not been delighting consumers with new models lately. And now, on the eve of 2019, two novelties of the N series appear simultaneously - Infinity N11 and Infinity N12. Monobrow devices correspond to all modern trends and are essentially variations of one device, differing from each other in some few characteristics.

Appearance

Visually, devices with bangs give the impression of presentable modern devices.

The N11 is presented in a discreet black color (Black). A distinctive feature of the exterior design of the Infinity N11 is the design of the back, on the left side of which there is a rubberized strip: this design echoes the exterior design of Honor 8X.

Its closest relative, N12, has a wide variety of color schemes: blue lagoon (Blue Lagoon), viola (Viola), velvet red (Red Velvet). The rear panel of the device has a glossy surface with a reflective effect.

The dimensions of the presented smartphones are the same and are: width - 76.2 mm, height - 155 mm, thickness - 8.5 mm. The weight of each product is 164 g. The case is plastic.

In general, the front and rear views of the N11 and N12 do not differ significantly (except for the design of the rear camera). On the right side, the electronics have conveniently located power and volume buttons. At the bottom, smartphones have microUSB ports and headphone jacks. The indicator is approximately 10 milliseconds: this is enough for optimal perception of a picture or video by the human eye, a problem can arise when it comes to solving more demanding tasks, in particular when working with VR content. The screen resolution, which is 720 * 1500 pixels, in some cases makes graphic and text images a little blurry.

The display occupies about 81.1% of the area of ​​the front panel of the phone, has an aspect ratio of 18.9 to 9, which ensures the reproduction of more graphic and text information on the touch screen.

Platform

Both devices run on the optimized Android 8.1 Oreo operating system. The MediaTek MT6762V Helio P22 processor is not an entry-level processor: its purpose is to serve devices belonging to the middle class with no more than 6 GB of RAM and a display resolution of HD + (720 * 1600 with an aspect ratio of 20: 9). Supports dual cameras with a resolution of up to 13/8 Mp (single-camera modules, respectively, up to 21 Mp).

The present rudiments of artificial intelligence will help in implementing the face recognition function, creating a bokeh effect. The chipset, made in 12-nanometer technology at a clock frequency of 2 GHz, has an eight-core configuration. The processor core is Cortex A53. Graphics accelerator - PowerVR GE8320 at 650 MHz.

Memory

In terms of RAM, the models have certain differences: the Infinity N11 has a capacity of 2 GB, while the Infinity N12 has 3 GB of RAM, which is superior to the younger model. It can be assumed that in the long term, such a difference may cause different performance: for the N11, multitasking will be more of a problem than for the N12.

The memory associated with the internal storage is the same: for each of the models it is 32 GB. For many users, this size of built-in memory is enough to fulfill their urgent needs: installing applications, storing text information, photo and video files. For those who make complaints about the possibilities available on smartphones, planning to use the device for games, downloading movies or storing large files, it will not be difficult to solve the problem by using a memory card: a slot for microSD allows it to expand up to 128 GB.

Cameras

Smartphones are traditionally equipped with a main (rear) and additional (front) cameras.

The rear cameras of the devices located on the rear panel do not have significant differences: this is a variant of a dual camera with a 13-megapixel camera with LED flash and 5-megapixel modules for blurring the background. The only difference between them lies in the back design.

Depending on the environmental conditions (being outdoors or indoors with artificial light, in the sun or in a dark place), the main cameras of phones with improved AI can automatically adjust brightness, contrast, and saturation of images.

The front cameras differ more significantly. The N11 has an 8-megapixel front camera, while the N12 is more richly equipped: it has a 16-megapixel selfie device. Of course, the capabilities of the additional camera N11 are more modest compared to the older model, but they are enough to get detailed images. Evaluating the capabilities of the front camera of the second device - N12, it should be noted that the clarity of the pictures will be an order of magnitude higher: with its help you can create photos that will be suitable for editing at a professional level. At the current exchange rate for January 2019 in domestic currency, the estimated cost for N11 corresponds to 8650 rubles, N12 - 9300 RUB.
