If you believe the recent rumors, then the manufacturer from Korea plans to surprise users in 2019, because he is preparing not 2 flagships, as everyone is already used to, but immediately 3. This article presents a preliminary review of Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite, S10 and S10 + smartphones with the merits and the disadvantages of each of them.

Positioning

According to the well-established tradition, following the release of the iPhone in the fall, the Samsung brand begins to operate, showing its own protagonists in the spring, who should become the main rivals of devices from Apple.

The same situation occurs in 2019, because at MWC 2019 a trademark from South Korea will show sensational new items. They'll have to outshine their fame iPhone XS and XS Max, but if users are again presented with flagships in the style of the Galaxy S8, then it will be very difficult for Samsung to claim leadership along with the Apple Corporation.

The chances are that the Samsung brand will indeed showcase something unimaginable, because the chief executive of the firm said that the devices will receive significant improvements. What exactly will change in the new products is not yet clear, but this only increases interest in the Galaxy S10 / S10 + and S10 Lite.

At the moment, the media provided a lot of fascinating information, and not so long ago the corporation announced the first ever three-module camera in the Galaxy A7 (2018), more about which here... This means that users will see 3 camera modules on the flagships of the Galaxy S series, so everyone is looking forward to the conclusion of the 2019 MWC.

Overview of new products

Everyone knows that earlier the Samsung corporation presented 2 smartphones at the same time, one miniature and flat, and the other with a curved display. Then the flat phones were replaced with the same curved ones, but without increasing the size, so that there was an opportunity to release the Plus modification.

From now on, 3 smartphones from Samsung will immediately be released, and one of the modifications will get a very common flat display with a typical rounding along the edges in the 2.5D format.

3 different devices - 3 different galaxies. Duplicate or coincidence, but for some reason 3 Samsung Galaxy S10s will be released immediately following Apple's decision to release 3 iPhones: XS, XS Max and XR. The latter in more detail here.

Today, the niche of smartphones is not the same as it was about 8 years earlier, but if in 2010 Samsung had acted in the way it is going today, it would not have been left alive. It is good that now you cannot impress users by copying and imitating, because users no longer react to this.

Galaxy S10 Lite

It is reasonable to start the review with a lightweight modification of the novelty, namely the Galaxy S10 Lite. It should be noted that the flagship may be called differently in the end, since there is information about the name of the Galaxy S10R, in which R stands for Retro. Or perhaps it is the similarity with iPhone XR... In any case, at the moment this is inaccurate information.

It is clear that this particular flagship will receive the traditional flat screen, which previously appeared in the Galaxy S7. The diagonal of the display should be 5.8 inches with FHD + format, and AMOLED will act as a matrix type.

The device is promised about 6 GB of RAM and probably within 64-128 GB of ROM.One way or another, the flagship will receive a premium chipset from Samsung itself, namely the proprietary Exynos 9820 processor with 8 cores and the ARM Mali-G76 MP18 graphics accelerator. This chip will be 30% more efficient when compared to its predecessor Exynos 9810, and 2.7 times faster for machine learning.

Nothing else is known about this model, and therefore it makes no sense to make predictions about how many cameras it will have, whether they will install a fingerprint sensor that will be integrated into the screen. All the latest information is given in the table.

Galaxy S10

The Galaxy S10 looks like it will be similar in design to the S10R, but there will be a difference too. This device will feature an already stylized curved-sided display. The diagonal is 6.1 inches, the matrix is ​​similar to the above model and is made of the AMOLED type, but the format will certainly increase to 2K +.

In addition, the transformation in display will be even more significant, since the Galaxy S10 will be equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner.

In addition to the Exynos 9820 with the Mali-G76 MP18 video accelerator, the device will also get an alternative from Qualcomm, namely the Snapdragon 855. By the way, this processor will provide the gadget with support for 5G networks.

The photographic possibilities are not yet fully clear, but the phone will definitely be equipped with a dual module with variable aperture, zoom and optical type stabilization.

Galaxy S10 Plus

Flagship iPhone XS Max became the largest display side in iPhone history. In this regard, it instantly became the most desirable, since it is identical in body dimensions to all previous generations of iPhone Plus. As much as 6.5 inches with OLED for all users (who, of course, have about 100 thousand rubles).

Nevertheless, in terms of appearance, the iPhone XS Max does not differ at all from the XS and iPhone X - only the dimensions have increased. For its part, the Galaxy S10 + differs in design when compared to the Galaxy S10, and in addition to the massive display, it will get a number of tempting "highlights".

First of all, the display diagonal will increase to 6.4 inches, and Super AMOLED with 2K + format will act as a matrix. But, in addition to a solid diagonal, under the screen, at the top, there will be a selfie camera, and a fingerprint sensor at the bottom.

The point is that in the process of opening the front camera, the screen in the area of ​​the module will become colorless, which means that the flagship will not be equipped with all sorts of protrusions, etc. How well this technology will function, and whether a colorless display will reduce the quality of images or, on the contrary, the quality of the picture on the screen itself is currently unknown.

In addition, 2 chips will be responsible for the performance of the gadget, which will be installed in the smartphone, depending on the sales area. As always, Snapdragon 855 is prepared for the United States of America, and Exynos 9820 will “travel” to European and post-Soviet countries, including Russia.

By the way, the rear camera in the Galaxy S10 + will get 3 photographic blocks. Which package will be used is not clear, however, judging by what is present in Galaxy A7 (2018), we can assume the following:

1. At least 12 MP for the auxiliary module, which is used as a picture depth sensor (bokeh effect).
2. Approximately 20MP for a rear camera with variable aperture ranging from 1.5-2.4.
3. 8 or 12 MP for a wide-angle module with a viewing angle within 120 degrees.
