In 2016, Lenovo released several smartphones from the K line. At that time, the K6, K6 Note and K6 Power devices were not very powerful and were considered entry-level smartphones. The devices had a stylish design, a solid body and a mediocre camera, which, overall, justified their cost. More recently, a new representative of the series called Lenovo K6 Enjoy has been released.

This line of smartphones from Lenovo is considered a striking representative of a good quality-price ratio. Devices representing the K series do not have any special features, but, in general, present a quite sufficient level of performance and reliability to the user. Several years ago, the K6, K6 power and K6 note smartphones came out, which had a relatively low cost, differed only in the battery capacity, the amount of RAM and internal memory.
These models were planned, as usual, ordinary representatives of modern devices, with a durable metal case, a fingerprint scanner, a capacious battery and a 4G network. This level would easily suit buyers who do not expect powerful system parameters and are looking for a low cost with acceptable characteristics. Ultimately, the released product turned out to be a direct competitor to Chinese devices with a price of up to $ 150 and soon gained popularity on store shelves, thereby becoming the best entry-level device.
This year, a spiritual successor of past models is released under the name Lenovo K6 Enjoy, which is already an order of magnitude more powerful, productive, but with the same low cost level. All the details about the characteristics of the smartphone are in this article.

The design of the Lenovo K6 Enjoy smartphone is very different from its predecessors. First of all, the display has noticeably changed, which has grown to 6 inches and is located almost over the entire surface of the front panel. The top and bottom bezels have become almost invisible, and a teardrop shape has formed at the top, in which the front camera is located. It is located strictly in the middle of the top of the display. The LED notification sensor is missing from the device, and the fingerprint scanner is on the back cover.
The back of the device, which is made of a durable metal alloy, bears the main camera of three modules, a scanner and the company logo. In this way, it resembles some models of the company Xiaomi. The side edges of the phone are slightly rubberized, which, on the whole, does not strike the eye and merges perfectly with the metal on the back cover. On the right side there is a smartphone power button and a volume control, and on the left there is a SIM card slot. There is no port for a flash drive, but this is compensated by a good amount of internal memory.
The charger connector is located at the bottom of the case, there are also sound speakers.
The device comes in three different colors: blue, black and silver.
In general, the device is made with high quality and stylish. The front glass is durable and has an oleophobic coating. Thanks to him, there are no fingerprints on the screen.
The device has a large display, but due to the competent design the device is relatively light and compact. The weight of the smartphone is 161 grams, and the proportions of the body are as follows:
The Lenovo K6 Enjoy has a 6.22-inch display that occupies almost 84 percent of the entire front panel. The display type is IPS and the number of colors is 16 million. The screen resolution is 720x1520 pixels with an aspect ratio of 19: 9, and its format is Full HD. Taking into account such parameters, it becomes clear that the screen in the device is not of the highest level. In the system settings, it is possible to set several color modes. One of them is warmer, and the other with cold tones. There is also a night reading mode.
The color level of the phone is average, saturation is also average, and the brightness is almost 510 nits. Thanks to the brightness, you can safely use the device in strong sunlight.
The device is equipped with a 3300 mAh Li-Ion battery. According to the developers, in standby mode the battery should last for 8 days. During constant calls, the battery lasts for several days. A quick charge function is available, with which the device can be charged in a few hours.
Taking into account the included video with maximum brightness and running Wi-Fi, the device's battery will last for 10-11 hours.
The device is equipped with a worthy MediaTek Helio P22 chipset, which is similar to the Snapdragon 635 chip. The hardware is powered by four 2 GHz Cortex A53 cores and 2 GHz Cortex A73 quad cores.
As a rule, more powerful processors are installed in modern smartphones, however, taking into account the initial configuration, manufacturers decided to supply mid-range hardware. Unfortunately, for heavyweight games, this system will not work, if only at the minimum settings. The PowerVR GE8320 video processor is responsible for the graphics component, and the amount of RAM is 8 gigabytes. Internal memory can range from 64GB to 128GB, depending on configuration. As already mentioned, the system is not designed for heavy processes like games or powerful graphics editors, but it is easily suitable for everyday tasks.
In general, the smartphone works stably, during the operation of the braking system was not observed. The device does not get very hot, but this is easily explained by the relatively low system parameters. Running the test in the Antutu app, the device showed not particularly impressive results. The indicators are at the middle-low level.
Whatever one may say, but this model was planned as a relatively budget option, so you can not expect many ranges here. Wi-Fi is available, but with limited data rates. There is Bluetooth technology of the fifth version, but, unfortunately, there are no frequency aggregates.
The device has support for 4G, which, in general, is very pleasing, but the data transfer speed is far from optimal.
Also, the device has USB Type C, which will not leave the buyer indifferent either.
With regard to all navigation systems, everything is fine in the device, the navigator shows the direction accurately, there were no failures in the system.
In addition, the gadget has support for two SIM cards and, as it should be, for a good phone, they function with several radio modules at once.
The device is equipped with an average quality main camera with three modules. The main module has 12 MP and operates with an aperture of f / 1.8. The additional module has 8 MP, and the third - only 5 MP, and it serves for portrait photography. The front camera is also of average quality, its resolution is 8 MP.
Opinion is mixed about the quality of the photos. The main camera produces mid-range images. Colors and saturation are okay, but noise and grain are too noticeable. Such defects are especially noticeable at night. On a smartphone screen, such pictures still have some kind of appearance, but on large screens they do not cause delight.
As in previous models, Lenovo K6 Enjoy is equipped with Smart function. On the one hand, you can see how the cameras in phones have improved with this function. Thanks to Smart mode, the level of smartphone cameras is much closer to decent cameras that have been equipped with smart controls for a long time. This software offers many different capabilities, but, unfortunately, it does not always correctly determine the exposure when photographing. Also, along with this, the definition of light and dark tones is not correct, which, as a result, results in too dark or light pictures.
Fortunately, this does not indicate a malfunction of the camera module, but means that the algorithm for post-processing photos is incorrectly set. This is not only a problem with the current model, but applies to almost all Lenovo devices.
Among other things, it should be said that the camera itself is not very high-quality, as evidenced by the noise and graininess in the pictures. As for the wrong exposure, for this, a manual mode was added to the device, with which you can edit the pictures yourself.
The front camera is not particularly pleasing. The module has 8 megapixels, various functions for improving images, and the camera interface familiar to Lenovo.
A few years ago, this line of Lenovo included a special interface that helps you take pictures correctly. A striking example is the automatic function for leveling the horizon, in the event that it is accidentally blocked by the operator.
The device has the ability to record videos in Full HD format at 30 frames per second. For such a display, it's generally not bad, but by the standards of 2019 it's relatively weak. Of course, you can refer to the budget of the device, but there is an opinion that you should not save on cameras. Sound is recorded in stereo with the AAC codec.
Lenovo K6 Enjoy runs on Android 9.0 Pie operating system. This OS works stably and quite fast. On a clean operating system, the developers installed a shell of their own production called Vibe. It is a completely ordinary shell with programs necessary for the system. If the system is updated, the interface will not undergo much change. With regard to the improved interface and its capabilities, the situation is as follows:
The main menu of the device does not differ much from other representatives of Android and carries all the necessary shortcuts and widgets of the system.
Compared to the previous models of the line, this one has abandoned the common table on which all the icons are constantly stored. Now it is possible to sort widgets and shortcuts into specially designated folders on the main screen.
This approach is very convenient, because it significantly reduces the time to find the desired program. Moreover, there are no longer several desktops, which also simplifies the work. Overall, the shell looks simple and tasteful.
The upper area of the interface has a special area where all the icons the user needs are located. Their location can be configured manually, and unnecessary programs can be disabled altogether.
This express menu can be provided with quick access to music, camera, gallery and other items you need. Of course, this feature is far from innovative, but still worth considering.
Starting with the vulgar models of the line, Lenovo K6 Enjoy has the ability to customize applications for which the maximum priority and other notifications will be displayed. It is also now possible to control the baud rate, the readings of which will be displayed in the express menu. There you can also monitor the remaining battery charge. Its value can be set as a percentage, or in a graphic strip.
The system settings have a unique tool that is available only in Lenovo devices. For example, in the settings of the Wi-Fi module, you can determine the frequencies at which the network operates.
During a call, you can display photos in full screen. This option is available for outgoing and incoming calls. The device has a timer that turns on and off the smartphone.
The gadget system is equipped with the Lenovo ID system. Thanks to her, the user has the ability to automatically save all the necessary data in the virtual cloud.
In addition, the system has a standard device manager, with which you can easily manage the battery charge. In the settings of the utility there is the possibility of saving battery power, various saving modes and a balanced distribution of battery resources during graphics processes.
In this program, you can monitor all the processes and system components that consume the most energy. Therefore, you can disable these components in the menu settings.
There are quite a few cute themes in the smartphone settings. Each of them has a unique interface and icons, and when applied, completely changes the entire visual component of the main menu.
It is rather unusual that Motorola's proprietary utility was introduced into the settings. This program is capable of modifying device scripts. It depends on the Wi-Fi network and the location of the smartphone. In the script, you can change the Internet settings, ringtone and SMS alerts, the design of the main screen and much more.
There is also an option to enable gestures. The touch buttons can be rearranged as you like.
Adjusting the system settings, you can notice another function called Smart lock. This utility is able to unlock the user's device remotely, using another phone or voice command.
The device has a so-called safe zone in its memory. This is a very useful repository where useful information can be stored, regardless of the state of access. If several people use the smartphone, then this mode will be very useful. With it, you can maintain several accounts at once and install applications, both in the open and in the closed area.
I would like to note the good sound quality in the device. During a call, the melody is heard well, and the microphone transmits the voice without distortion. The vibration is relatively weak.
The processor in the smartphone cannot offer enough power, but it calmly copes with everyday tasks. Games are not doing very well, as demanding applications need a more powerful system. We have to be content with little and play weak applications.
In general, such a smartphone can easily suit the user who is not looking for any unique features, but needs a stylish and durable device. The look of the smartphone is really pleasing to the eye. Its metal back cover smoothly intersects with the rubber ends, which looks strict and beautiful. The price of a smartphone, in principle, does not bite very much and is 12 thousand, but for such a price you can buy a rather powerful Chinese device from Xiaomi.
