Design and quality

This model looks like an ordinary smartphone and does not stand out in any way. The developers made it with a huge screen and rounded edges. The rear camera lens does not extend beyond the body, which will delight users. The device fits comfortably in the hand.

The body is made of solid aluminum. Because of this, the phone slips slightly in the hand. Therefore, you cannot do without a cover. A small flaw in the assembly is the lightweight power button, which sometimes has to be pressed hard to activate.

The touch buttons are located under the screen of the device. Unfortunately, the touch keys are not backlit, which is unforgivable for mid-range phones. But the LED notification beacon pleases.

The front of the 5-inch screen is surrounded by an oversized bezel.At the top of the front panel is an 8MP front camera. There are also various sensors and a speaker.

The back panel contains:

For about 10 hours, you can watch the video at the maximum brightness level. If you work with the phone in automatic brightness control mode for 5-6 hours a day, it will work without recharging for up to three days.

Communication capabilities

The developers tried to make the unit as budgetary as possible, but they set a price where the characteristics should be 2 times better. This smartphone is intended for those who care about appearance, not parameters. This model is far from the best option for those who transmit large amounts of information on the Internet.

Another drawback: there is no separate slot for a memory card.

The smartphone has no problems with navigation, because it always shows the road correctly in the transition mode and in the driving mode.

Camera

The 8 megapixel front camera has special features: this is a face and skin enhancement mode. The new smart mode, which Lenovo began to use at the end of 2016, allows automatic composition detection. For example, when the user is about to take a picture of a landscape, then an electronic level automatically appears on the screen, thanks to which you can correct the image.

The main camera has only 13 MP, which is very small for a model at this price. As a result, the pictures are of low quality, and on the screen of the device itself they look almost blurry. In Smart mode, Lenovo phones often show exposure, and also cannot correctly meter in the dark and light parts of the frame. This often results in images that are too light or too dark.

The camera here is of average quality. Errors in automatic settings can be corrected using manual mode.

Video is recorded in FullHD mode.

All software features

The operating system Android 6.0.1 is installed in this device, and on top of it a special shell from Lenovo. Previously it was called Vibe UI, but now it is an untitled shell and consists of various programs that slightly modify the appearance. Other devices from the company have the same capabilities. If you install 7 Android instead of 6 in the Lenovo K6 Power model, then you will not see any drastic changes in the interface.

The main menu looks the same as in Android. The display contains:

• Widgets;
• Program icons;
• It is possible to add desktops.

But there is still a difference: the company has abandoned the general menu, where a bunch of unnecessary programs are displayed that slow down the system. Here you can select widgets and sort programs by folders. Thanks to such a menu, the user quickly unlearns to enter the menu and leaf through the "Talmud" programs in order to find the necessary one. Many Android devices get confused about this feature.Here everything is clear and nothing superfluous.

The user can customize any panel to his liking, leaving those icons with which he constantly works, disabling unnecessary ones.

In addition, you can select the lightning-fast launch menu of the options of interest:

In addition, it is possible to configure the phone schedule. That is, the time it starts and stops.

When the phone is switched on, the automatic data archiving function starts. It's called Lenovo ID. This feature is optional, so there is no need to use it constantly.

The utility for managing battery health is the power manager. It has a number of settings that can extend battery life (for example, smart screen saver or maximum power saving mode). This utility displays data about which applications consume the most energy, as well as which components contribute to this. If necessary, you can temporarily or permanently disable some functions if they contribute to the rapid use of charge.

In the "Themes" section, you can customize all the interface components. Each theme is diverse, so there is plenty to choose from.

It is also available to configure the scenarios of the device, which is developed by the user independently. This includes:

• The ability to change the mode of operation of SIM cards.

You can also change to on-screen and touch buttons, as you like. Hold your finger on the screen to open the multitasking menu.

Smart Lock allows you to unlock your phone when other devices are nearby. It is also possible to add screen unlocking using the owner's face or voice.

Working with contacts and calendar

Everything is very simple in this menu. In one contact, you can additionally drive an e-mail address and a personal melody. In addition, a selection of additional fields is available. While viewing an existing contact, messages and call history are displayed in a separate field.

Additional option: "yellow pages", which allows you to search for different establishments (cinema, restaurants, bars).

The phone supports the function of recording conversations, which, if necessary, can be listened to at a convenient time. This feature is perfect for journalists, lawyers and dignitaries and people who want to remember important information for them.

Messages are sorted according to the following parameters:

Lenovo K6 / K6 Power phones open a line of smartphones that were positioned in terms of price / quality ratio. In the Russian Federation, only Lenovo K6 Power went on sale, which is much more expensive and of lower quality than the devices of the entire K6 series. The device is no different. It can only be bought by a vivid fan of Lenovo, or by someone who likes the design and does not pay much attention to the characteristics.
