In early 2018, Oppo announced the launch of the first Realme. Most likely, the best manufacturer Xiaomi will have to slightly "move" in the segment of the rating of high-quality and inexpensive phones, since the popularity of the model from Oppo is still going through the roof.
After that, the company realized that it had access to a “tasty” place in the mobile market. In connection with xtv, not so long ago, the company demonstrated a new product - Realme 2, the advantages and disadvantages of which are discussed in this article.

OPPO Realme 2 is a budget smartphone that fans have been eagerly awaiting after the release of the first model. The main reason for the line's benefit is the excellent ratio of cost and functionality, which in turn has become a key aspect of achieving success in the mobile device market.
Interesting fact! Demonstrated on 08/28/18, the Oppo Realme 2 phone immediately set a record after it went into sale. The fact is that the first batch, which consisted of 200 thousand devices, was purchased within 5 minutes.
The appearance of the popular model is really cool for a phone in an inexpensive segment. Feeling in the hands of this "phenomenon" at the price of a state employee, one cannot say at all that its cost is really so affordable. There is only one caveat - it is very similar to its predecessors: Oppo F9 Pro and Realme 1.
The front side is filled with a 2.5D screen. Here you can see the "bangs", which, according to user reviews, are a little tired, but they happily forget about it for such a cost. At the bottom of the phone, on the left, there is a speaker with 5 holes.
The back panel of the smartphone is made in diamond color, which looks very expressive. The back cover houses a dual rear camera with 13 and 2 MP modules. Slightly below the camera is the fingerprint sensor.
There is a slight drawback in the comfort of controlling the phone, the role of which is played by the volume rocker and the on / off key. The fact is that they are located on opposite sides of the device.
The smartphone feels comfortable in the hand due to the matte coating on the sides, there is no sliding, the fingerprint sensor functions perfectly.
The smartphone has a screen with a diagonal of 6.2 inches, and the resolution was reduced to 1520x720px. And this despite the fact that the first model was Full HD +. It is worth noting that in this regard, the change of the processor looks reasonable, since for the HD + display the 450 chip from Snapdragon is quite enough. In fact, all this is logical, but users want to buy a smartphone without all this logic: with a Full HD + display and some kind of reliable processor, for example, Snapdragon 636.
Regarding the display, not only its diagonal has changed, but also the resolution. Instead of an 18: 9 ratio and a crisp quadrangle shape, Oppo has equipped the model with an even more oblong 19: 9 screen with a bump at the top. On the forums, they write that trends are to blame for everything, and this is partly true. But according to marketers, they did everything right, because now the company's assortment has two solutions - with and without an "eyebrow".
The image on the display should be attributed to quality for this price category. Sharpness, the greatest contrast, readability in the sun - all these parameters are at a tolerable level, but a budget smartphone, so a tolerable level is normal.
The first Realme model is still popular, and some users are even confused: "which one is better to buy?" To figure out how to choose the right one, the best option would be to "walk" on the iron. Oppo Realme 1 was equipped with a very productive Helio P60 filling, so everything is in order with the nimbleness of work there: in the main benchmarks, the smartphone is slightly inferior to the Oppo R15 Pro, equipped with a 660 processor from Snapdragon. In fact, the Helio P60 literally "breathes" down the back of the Snapdragon 660's neck, so the stuffing should be included in the list of advantages of the first model. For example: Redmi Note 5, powered by Snapdragon 636, is inferior to it.
In the new product, the parts responsible for performance have been changed. The Snapdragon 450 processor is now responsible for performance. Almost all specialists and fans of the trademark immediately recorded this parameter in the key flaws. And not in vain, because in terms of speed, Realme 2 loses out to its “big brother” anyway, and loses significantly.
Another drawback is that this model does not have the 4/128 GB memory modification present in Realme 1. The largest configuration for a smartphone is 4/64 GB. Nevertheless, there is a slot for a flash drive, and it is separate, which is why the model should be attributed to the Dual SIM status.
There are flaws in the sound. The fact is that if you turn on the music loudly, the speaker distorts the sound excessively. Therefore, if the user wants to listen to his favorite tracks in good quality, it makes sense to think about buying a headset in advance.
For active games and their fans, there is an additional bonus in the role of a gamer mode, which makes it possible to increase the performance in "heavy" games. The phone heats up, but not to maximum values.
The smartphone is controlled by Color 5.1 system based on Android 8.1 Oreo.
From wireless communications - OTG, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, GPS, radio and Bluetooth.
Lots of different scanners: light, G-sensor, speed, distance and even magnetic induction.
The user is given the opportunity to choose virtual control through buttons and gestures.
The phone has a dual-module rear camera, which consists of an ordinary 13MP lens and a 2MP telephoto lens. In the first module, the aperture reaches 2.2, and in the auxiliary 2.4. During the day, pictures come out with excellent detail and competent color reproduction, noise is formed at night.

Due to the presence of optical stabilization, it is possible to record video in an acceptable quality. The same applies to the 8MP front camera.
Realme 2 was equipped with a powerful battery (4230 mAh). Compared to the first model, the battery capacity has increased by 800 mAh, which is noticeable in the operating time. By the way, the HD + display in combination with a mediocre processor also contributes to an increase in autonomy from a single charge.
Interesting fact! The developers guarantee 10 hours of uptime for games.
It should be noted that the new product lacks the ability to quickly charge VOOC Flash Charge. This feature is available only for the company's mid-range phones, such as the R17 Pro, F9, R17 and R15.

Of course, there are a lot of questions to the phone, but as soon as users remember the cost, then almost all of them fade into the background. If a person is not enraged by the “bangs” on the screen, and he is ready to endure it, and he is also not an ardent fan of posting pictures on Instagram, then he should like the phone. The appearance of the gadget is made at the level of the flagships and, thanks to the cut on the back, is very different from the rest.
