ZTE budget smartphones are in demand in the Russian market. Popular models, with an average price of up to $ 200, are distinguished by a decent level of assembly, good quality of components, useful functionality, and attractive design. In the Blade line, the most popular and extensive, newcomers appear regularly. One of these was the ZTE Blade A7 Vita smartphone, which went on sale since October 31, 2018.

Appearance

The new low-cost full-screen device draws attention with its modern design. The bezels of the front panel are minimal: the main area (81.5%) is occupied by the display. The aspect ratio is 18 to 9, which ensures a comfortable fit in the hand. The classic case with rounded edges is made of plastic, which explains the small weight of the device - 135 grams. Convenient dimensions have the following values: width - 69.5 mm, height - 147 mm, thickness - 7.9 mm.

Display

The diagonal of the touch screen is 5.45 inches. This size with an aspect ratio of 2: 1 makes it possible to display more text and graphic information on it.

The highlight of the model, which the manufacturer emphasizes, is the night mode of eye protection, which is important if the device is used before bedtime. The IPS matrix used provides excellent color reproduction (it's no coincidence that professional-level monitors for photographers and designers are produced on this type of matrix), in addition, such displays provide a fixed level of autonomy when working with text information and watching videos. IPS matrices are durable and affordable.

The image size is 1440 × 720 with 295 ppi pixels per inch, which is not a high figure. Using it, the manufacturer seeks to reduce power consumption, unload the processor and, ultimately, make the smartphone cheaper: if the processor renders a picture in high resolution, it must consume more power, while having sufficient performance, which makes the cost of the device higher.

Platform

The device runs on the current version of the operating system - Android 8.1 Oreo.

Processor - Qualcomm Snapdragon 425. It is intended exclusively for budget mobile devices. However, it should be noted that for 2019 the chip is a somewhat morally and physically outdated model: SD 425, which was released in the second half of 2016, could be a good alternative to SD 450, which is inexpensive and more prestigious, providing greater performance. The chipset used in the ZTE Blade A7 Vita is based on four cores with a clock frequency of 1400 MHz. Processor core - Cortex A53.The graphics accelerator is Adreno 308. You can play on such a device, but at minimum settings: it is impractical to purchase a model for active games.

In Russia, the younger version of the ZTE Blade A7 Vita is presented, for which the amount of RAM is 2 GB, with built-in memory of 16 GB. For many users, this volume is quite enough for the full operation of the device. However, for those who like to use the device to install games, watch a downloaded movie or save countless photos, there is the possibility of expanding the memory: the device contains a slot for microSD up to 128 GB.

Battery

The battery capacity is 3200 mAh, which can be considered average. With the active use of the phone for calls, searching for the necessary information on the Internet, a small photo session, the autonomous mode of the device is provided for the whole day. This is possible thanks to a distinctive feature of the device: the presence of an intelligent power saving mode. It is implemented in the fact that the device, having studied the user's habits, closes unclaimed applications.

The duration of the device's operation from one charge in the case of a gentle operation mode can be even longer, given the fact that at night the device automatically switches to sleep mode. But if the user uses the device for games for a long time, watches movies, then additional recharging may be needed during the day.

Cameras

The manufacturer paid considerable attention to the photographic part of the device. The device is equipped with two cameras, each of which supports video recording and HDR.

The main (rear) one is equipped with a 13 megapixel module, six lenses, a lens with an F / 2.0 aperture and autofocus. The aperture is designed to provide a decent level of detail and color, both in the sun and in dimly lit rooms, in the evening and at night. A variety of shooting modes are available to the owner of the device to create professional-grade images. The available automatic modes are designed to provide a decent end result.

The front camera has a resolution of 5 megapixels. Selfie lovers will appreciate the presence of the bokeh effect, which is also called the background blur mode: when the sharpness of the background is reduced, you can get interesting portrait images.

Supports face beautification mode, which can make the image displayed by the front camera perfect.

The device makes it possible to place two nano sim cards, which makes it possible to differentiate calls related to work and personal need, to use convenient travel tariffs, to connect to the Internet at any point in the location. A distinctive feature of the model is the ability to unlock the device by means of the face recognition function: just look at the smartphone screen, and it will immediately recognize its owner, reacting with instant unlocking.

There is a voice dialing function that allows you to transform the words spoken by a person into an image of text. This option is convenient when you need to record a large amount of information: it saves time in comparison with the process of typing using the keyboard, which is not the most comfortable experience on the touch screen.

Another function, called the voice control function, in contrast to the previous one, carries out the input of control commands. It is inconvenient to enter content with its help: you have to show skill, making the necessary pauses between words.

Airplane mode will, if necessary, disable the device's cellular communication and wireless functions: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth.

Ambient light and proximity sensors common to all modern mobile devices are essential to enable offline display brightness adjustment. The first one - catches the stream of photons and adjusts the brightness of the screen backlight, taking into account the illumination, which allows you to save battery power. The second, by sending a signal to the object, reacts by turning off the reflection.

There is a flashlight necessary in everyday life situations.

Of course, I would like to see an NFC chip in the model, which its closest relative ZTE Black V9 Vita possesses, but the ability to make contactless purchases and payments on this smartphone is not provided.

Having announced the start of sales, the manufacturer has set the recommended retail price for the new model at 8,990 rubles.
